Established in 2009 by J. Wade Nichols, DMD, to honor the memory of Debra Carlson, his long-time dental assistant.
1) Must be enrolled in the Expanded Duty
Dental Assisting program.
2) Must be a resident of Horry or Georgetown County;
3) Must be a full-time student.
4) Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater for course work
completed in the fall semester of the Expanded Duty
Dental Assisting curriculum.
5) Must demonstrate financial need.
Priority is given to students with prior dental assisting experience within the previous five years.
