This endowed scholarship was established in 2019 by Ms. Shelia Barger in loving memory of her daughter Samantha Carole Herzig. Samantha was attending HGTC when she was killed in a car accident by an impaired driver. Samantha was vibrant, energetic, outgoing and never met a stranger. When her mother was hospitalized for a rare genetic blood disorder, Samantha decided to enroll in a pre-nursing program at HGTC.
1. Must be enrolled in Nursing or a Human Services
Program.
2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
