Established in 1996 by a major donation from the Knight Foundation in conjunction with individual donors. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist minority students in pursuit of an associate degree and to lay a foundation for future advancement in technical fields.
1) Must be a second year student.
2) Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and maintain that average in order to retain the scholarship.
Candidates may reapply for the scholarship only if the GPA of 3.0 has been maintained during the previous scholarship semester.
