The Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation is proud to announce Southwest Splendor, its 2026 signature special event, presented by Anderson Brothers Bank. This elevated Southwestern-inspired dining experience will take place on Friday, March 7, 2026, at the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach on the HGTC Grand Strand Campus.
As the presenting sponsor, Anderson Brothers Bank has committed $10,000 in support of Southwest Splendor, demonstrating its continued investment in student success and dedication to strengthening educational opportunities in our community.
Southwest Splendor will bring together community leaders, supporters, and friends of the Foundation for an unforgettable evening celebrating student success, culinary excellence, and the impact of philanthropy.
Guests will enjoy an upscale Southwestern-themed dinner prepared by the talented students and faculty of the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach, showcasing the exceptional hands-on training and real-world experience offered through one of HGTC’s premier academic programs. The evening will feature thoughtfully curated cuisine, complementary beverage pairings, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere inspired by the spirit of the Southwest.
Attendees are invited to embrace the theme by wearing boots, jeans, and cowboy hats for a one-of-a-kind evening that blends creativity, culture, and culinary craftsmanship.
Proceeds from Southwest Splendor will directly support student scholarships and the HGTC Foundation Emergency Fund, providing critical resources that help students overcome unexpected financial hardships and stay on track toward graduation.
“We are incredibly grateful to Anderson Brothers Bank for serving as the presenting sponsor of Southwest Splendor,” said Shannon Detzler, president and CEO of the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation. “Their $10,000 commitment directly supports our students and strengthens the Foundation’s mission to remove barriers to education.”
The Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation invites community members, business leaders, and supporters to join us for this premier evening of dining and philanthropy while making a lasting difference in the lives of HGTC students.
